Do you have any problems? There is a list of the most common problems or questions you as our customers have. If you won’t find yours, please contact us and we will answer or help you with solution.

Internet

First of all, you need to contact us by email or by phone, and we will send you an Internet connection offer. Alternatively, you can view our price list at https://www.it8.cz/download/cenikit8-2021.pdf [in Czech only] and choose your service and tariff there. We will then ask you to fill in the order form.

After filling the form, we will verify that we have an established connection in your office/apartment. If so, setting the Internet up and running will be almost instant – we will just need to have a device connected that we can add to the list of devices that can connect to our Internet network. However, if you do not have a connection, we will have to establish it first. That generally takes a few days.

We provide Internet connection particularly in the Radost building in Prague’s Žižkov district, in K-center buildings in Prague 1 and in Prague – Řeporyje. For more information please contact us at info@it8.cz

To choose the right type of service based on specification is not an easy task. That is why we have created a summary of typical customers to help you choose the right service.

  • In the service is included five Internet domains (.cz, .eu, .com), five web hosting and five mailhosting
Service PLATINUM
  • We are a big firm, we require stable Internet connection speed and immediate response to problems that arise

You have chosen your service and speed. Now it’s time to choose the router. If you have already contacted us, we have probably sent you an Internet connection offer with services and adequate routers, so you can check the offer. For other cases we have prepared an overview table, where you can find a suitable router for your service.

Of course you can order a higher category router, but it will be probably unnecessary. On the other hand a lower category router might not do a good job making full of the service.

For higher category services the router rental is included in the price of the service, so for your price estimate see our Internet connection order form [in Czech only]. The form doesn’t send any of your information to us until you click the “Závazně objednat službu připojení” button on the last page of the form.

You can have your own router, or not. We also offer a router for each connection, which you can purchase or rent. Its configuration is for free (if you will be a customer for at least 12 months). Rental amount is based on the service you will pay. For higher services the router is included.

Your Internet may be slow for the following reasons:

  • You are downloading a large file from the Internet and you have HOME or HIT service.
  • You have too many add-ons in your browser (they usually appear in the top bar of the browser).
  • Your computer is overloaded. Launch the task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and check that you don’t have a CPU, memory or disk overloaded. You can tell if you are overloaded by values approaching 100%.
  • You haven’t paid for your Internet (in which case you should have a reminder in your email about unpaid debts).
  • You are paying for a low Internet speed. (You can find your paid Internet speed on the Payment Schedule under Service Name. For example, “HIT 50+” means HIT service with a speed of 50 Mbps.)

No, the amount of data downloaded on the connection is limited only by the purchased speed.

No, we do not track the number of computers, printers and other network devices connected.

Billing

We only accept payments for Internet services directly to the bank account mentioned in the payment schedule. Payment frequency depends on customer’s wishes – monthly, quarterly, semiannually, annually. 

You are going to receive the payment schedule at the beginning of the contractual relationship and then always at the turn of the calendar year. You will receive the first payment schedule with your contract in paper form, after that we will be sending them by email listed in the order of Internet services.

A payment schedule is a table, which contains payment data for the Internet services for a given calendar year.
It contains a list of services – Internet connection and the rent of a router. Contents of the list can differ according to ordered services.
Furthermore it contains a list of payments – where every row indicates a single payment for a given period, sum of money and payment date.
You can use a standing order to make payments – payment reference number (variable symbol) stays the same and is listed in the upper part of the payment schedule under abbreviation VS.

The deposit is a refundable advance of one monthly payment, which serves like a safeguard in case, that you will be late with a payment. We will use the deposit for duration of one month. If we receive the payment with utmost one month delay, the quality of the service will not change. However, if you are more than a month late with your payment, we will radically reduce your Internet speed.

If we have launched the connection later than on the first day of the month, then you will pay only a part of the price that month. Similarly we charge the last month of the contract, if you decide to terminate the service sooner, than the last day of the month.

Always at the beginning of the contractual relationship and at the turn of the calendar year we will be sending electronically a payment schedule for the calendar year ahead. On it you can find the payment details for all the payments for Internet services due in a given year. We will be sending invoices under the only circumstance that you have personally requested it in the beginning or during the contractual relationship.

Definitely, you can pay more payments at the same time. You can do it with one big payment (x times the price for the accounting period), or you can make multiple payments with the sum of money for one period. You can also use a standing order, so you do not have to think about paying every month. Do not forget to use the same payment reference number, which you will find on the payment schedule under abbreviation VS.

Send the payment as soon as possible. If you have delayed utmost one month, nothing happens. You have used your security deposit. In case of a longer delay we will be slowing your Internet speed, so please notify us of the payment by email so that we can return the speed to you as soon as possible.

There is the possibility that you have forgotten to pay the deposit. The deposit is the same sum of money as the payment for one charge period. So it could be that you have paid properly for all periods, but because you have not paid the deposit, the payments have been delayed by one period. From our point of view you do not pay properly. You can resolve it by sending us the next payment, or when you have read the reminder, the payment for deposit. If you are convinced that you have paid for the deposit, please contact us, we will find a solution together.

Yes, it is possible to transfer the contract to another entity by means of a contract amendment.
